Bob White follow up

We were gone for a week and returned to find the mama and babies were gone. A fascinating discovery was that the mama "tucked" empty shells together.

I have waited for over a week now and still no sign of the family.  The shells don't look as if a predator had disturbed them.
I have walked the area, peered out the windows, peeked around corners, all hoping to spy the birds. Nary a one.
So, we are assuming all is well with the family and mama has taken them to another place in our neighborhood.  Maybe we will have another chance next year.
